This bill amends Tennessee's Medicaid and children's health insurance programs (TennCare and CoverKids) to require that a minor child enrolled in these programs remains eligible until they reach 6 years old, regardless of changes in their circumstances. The bill prohibits the TennCare bureau from redetermining eligibility or disenrolling these children, except in certain limited circumstances such as the child moving out of state or the initial enrollment being based on fraud. The bill also requires the TennCare director to submit any necessary federal waivers by the end of 2024 to implement these changes.
