This bill amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 37, by removing the declaration that it is the responsibility of each parent and legal guardian to ensure their children are vaccinated according to the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control or the American Academy of Pediatrics. Instead, it replaces this declaration with a recommendation that children be vaccinated with vaccines recommended by the commissioner of health, as advised on an individual basis by the parent or legal guardian's trusted healthcare provider.
