This bill requires the Commissioner of Labor to convene a Human Services Employee Wage Board comprised of twelve members, including human services employees, providers, and representatives. The Wage Board will hold public hearings and make recommendations to the Governor and Legislature by December 31, 2023, on addressing pay disparities between human services employees and government or private sector workers performing similar duties, as well as recommendations for wages that would provide adequate maintenance and protect the health of human services employees.
