This bill enacts the "Tennessee Artificial Intelligence Advisory Council Act," which establishes a 19-to-21-member advisory council to provide recommendations to the state government on how to position Tennessee to benefit from artificial intelligence (AI) opportunities, responsibly leverage AI to improve government services, and ensure the responsible and ethical use of AI while protecting citizens' rights. The council is required to submit two reports - one by June 30, 2025, on the impact of AI on Tennessee's labor market and industries, and one by September 30, 2025, on principles and policies to guide AI use in state and local governments. The bill also provides for the council's administrative structure and operations.
