This bill requires local education agencies (LEAs) and public charter schools in Tennessee to recognize November 7th of each year as "Victims of Communism Day" to honor those who have fallen victim to communist regimes worldwide. It also mandates that high school students enrolled in world history and geography courses receive at least 45 minutes of instruction on that day about various communist leaders and movements, and how their victims suffered through poverty, starvation, migration, violence, and suppression of speech. The bill takes effect on July 1, 2024.
