HB 1122/AP
AI Summary
This bill makes several changes to Georgia's education laws. It provides funding requirements for local education agencies, including charter schools, to pay the salaries of superintendents, principals, and other key personnel. It also allows students to attend schools where their parents or guardians are employed, including charter schools, regardless of school attendance zone. The bill clarifies that accountability ratings for public schools and school systems will be a single numerical score based on indicators of quality of learning, and requires timely publication of these scores. Finally, it limits the application of certain state charter school conflict of interest provisions to only executive-level employees of local boards of education or school systems, rather than all employees.
