This bill: 1. Repeals the requirement for each local correctional facility to make available at least one formulation of each FDA-approved full opioid agonist, partial opioid agonist, and long-acting opioid antagonist used for the treatment of opioid use disorders. 2. Requires the Maryland Secretary of Health to annually provide each county a grant equal to the costs incurred by the county for the implementation of a medication-assisted treatment program for incarcerated individuals with opioid use disorder. 3. Expands the authorized uses of the Opioid Restitution Fund to include providing grants to counties for the implementation of medication-assisted treatment programs in correctional facilities. The bill aims to improve access to medication-assisted treatment for incarcerated individuals with opioid use disorder and provides funding to support these programs at the county level.
