This bill expands the eligibility for the Janet L. Hoffman Loan Assistance Repayment Program to include individuals who received a degree from an accredited veterinary college or university and provided veterinary services for a minimum of 20 hours per week or as a volunteer for a minimum of 15 hours per week at certain animal shelters. The bill also maintains the existing eligibility requirements for the program, which includes individuals who received a graduate, professional, or undergraduate degree from a college or university in Maryland, a law school, or an accredited college or university for mental health professionals, and who obtain eligible employment with an income below the maximum eligible total income levels.
