This bill prohibits individuals from intentionally and knowingly making false statements or misrepresentations concerning the time, place, or manner of an election, voter eligibility qualifications or restrictions, criminal penalties associated with voting, or an individual's voter registration status or eligibility. Individuals who violate this provision are subject to a civil fine of up to $1,000 per violation. Additionally, the bill states that entities that employ individuals who make such false statements or misrepresentations for election-related purposes are also subject to a civil fine of up to $10,000, unless the entity demonstrates it had no prior knowledge of the individual's intention to make the false statement or misrepresentation.
