This bill amends and adds to existing Idaho law to prohibit the advertising of illegal products and services and to provide for the apportionment of fines. Specifically, it creates a new chapter in the Idaho Code to make it a misdemeanor for any person to willfully publish any notice or advertisement, in any medium, of a product or service that is illegal under Idaho law. The bill also amends the existing law on the payment and apportionment of fines and forfeitures collected by the courts, including providing that 90% of fines collected for violations of the new prohibition on advertising illegal products and services will go to the county where the violation occurred for appropriation to the sheriff's office.
