This bill reconstitutes the Early Intervention Task Force to collaborate with the state agency coordinating Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to design a new service delivery model and make changes to the Early Intervention Program. The bill sets the membership and responsibilities of the task force, which include reviewing billing and reimbursement processes, evaluating service delivery models, and providing recommendations to the Legislature by December 1, 2024. The bill also requires the state agency coordinating Part C of IDEA to prepare and deliver a report to the Legislature and the task force with recommendations for a more efficient system for provider compensation and billing, as well as a service delivery model that could include university participation. The task force will be dissolved upon presentation of its report.
