AI Summary

This bill aims to establish a pilot program under Georgia's Medicaid program to provide coverage for doula care for pregnant Medicaid recipients. The program will reimburse up to five doula visits per pregnant Medicaid recipient, at a rate of up to $700 per visit, and requires doulas to have completed appropriate training and have at least one year of experience. The Department of Community Health is required to submit a detailed report on the implementation and effectiveness of the pilot program by June 30, 2026, including recommendations on expanding the program statewide. The pilot program will terminate on June 30, 2026, and the statute will be automatically repealed on that date.
