This bill requires landlords in Howard County to include specific information in written leases for residential or commercial properties that are subject to Columbia Association covenants. The bill mandates that the lease must provide notice of the annual charge assessed by the Columbia Association and how it is calculated. Additionally, the lease must describe the rights and privileges afforded to tenants or their employees under the Columbia Association's covenants and governing documents. The landlord is also required to provide the tenant with a copy of the Columbia Association's covenants and governing documents, as well as the governing documents of the relevant village association or town center for residential properties. The bill will take effect on October 1, 2024.
