This bill amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to expand the categories of families eligible for the child care assistance program. Beginning January 1, 2025, the bill will include all child care workers with incomes at or below 325% of the federal poverty level for each family size as eligible for the program. The bill aims to help working families with limited access to economic resources, including those transitioning from welfare to work, to become and remain self-sufficient by providing them with affordable child care services.
