This bill amends Alaska's certified nurse aide (CNA) training requirements to ensure that CNA training programs provide instruction on forming relationships and communicating effectively with clients, demonstrating sensitivity to clients' emotional and mental health needs, assisting clients in maintaining independence, respecting clients' rights and dignity, assessing clients' health and care needs, using effective communication skills, and providing care for clients with cognitive impairments or dementia. The bill also sets an effective date of January 1, 2025.
