This bill amends Section 23-15-907 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to define the terms "caregiver," "family member," and "household member" for the purposes of the state's ballot harvesting law. The bill also clarifies that a person who is allowed to collect and transmit a ballot mailed to another person includes a family member, household member, or caregiver of the person to whom the ballot was mailed. Additionally, the bill specifies that any voter who requires assistance to vote due to blindness, disability, or inability to read or write may be given assistance by a person of the voter's choice, except certain exceptions.
