This bill would, until January 1, 2030, authorize the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) to issue permits allowing alcoholic beverage sales to occur between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. on the on-sale licensed premises of a fully enclosed arena with a seating capacity of at least 18,000 seats located in the City of Inglewood, subject to certain conditions. These conditions include that the sales occur in a private area of the arena no larger than 2,500 square feet, with a maximum capacity of 100 persons, and only during the hours immediately following a sporting event, concert, or other major event, or a private event not open to the public. The bill would set the initial permit fee at $2,000 and the annual renewal fee at $1,500, with the fees deposited into the Alcohol Beverage Control Fund. The City of Inglewood would be required to submit annual reports to the ABC on the impact of these provisions.
