This bill modifies the Utah Real Estate Licensing and Practices Act. It creates a new property manager license and establishes licensing requirements, including education and examination, for individuals who manage property owned by another person or advertise as being engaged in property management. The bill also gives the Real Estate Commission the authority to make rules and regulations specifically for property management activities. Additionally, the bill exempts individuals with an active broker, associate broker, or sales agent license from the education and examination requirements for a property manager license. The bill takes effect on May 1, 2024.
