AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to increasing the fees certain notaries public shall be entitled to

This bill amends the Executive Law to increase the fees that certain notaries public shall be entitled to from $2 to $5. Specifically, the bill increases the fees for administering an oath or affirmation, taking and certifying the acknowledgment or proof of execution of a written instrument, and swearing each witness thereto from $2 to $5. The bill does not change the fees for electronic notarial services, which are set through regulation by the Secretary of State.
