This bill modifies prior appropriations and provides additional funding for the Karlstad airport relocation project. Specifically, it appropriates $7.7 million from the bond proceeds fund for Phase 3 of the project, which includes funding for runway lighting, taxiway, parking apron, utilities, an aviation fueling system, access drive and parking, and any necessary navigational aids or other facilities required for the Department of Transportation Aeronautics airport licensure. This new appropriation is in addition to the previous appropriations for the same purposes in 2021 and 2023. The bill also authorizes the commissioner of management and budget to sell and issue bonds of the state up to $7.7 million to provide the necessary funding.
