This bill requires the Metropolitan Council to design, construct, and fully fund certain infrastructure elements of all bus rapid transit projects, including sidewalk curb ramps and signals meeting the latest Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards at all intersection quadrants affected by construction of a bus rapid transit station, and transit priority infrastructure like red transit pavement marking and traffic signal modifications. The bill also specifies that the required infrastructure upgrades must be done to the most current ADA design standards, even if other laws or regulations have lesser minimum requirements.
