This bill modifies provisions relating to the investment of moneys by county hospitals. It repeals and replaces Section 205.165 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri to allow the board of trustees of any qualifying county hospital to invest up to 15% of their funds not required for immediate disbursement or hospital operations into a variety of stocks, bonds, and money-market investments, rather than being limited to mutual funds. The bill removes the previous requirements that the hospital be located in a county of the first classification with a certain population range and receive less than 1% of its annual revenues from county or state taxes.
