This bill authorizes a broad range of school districts, including county vocational, local, regional, and special services districts, to establish electric vehicle (EV) certification programs in partnership with private entities. The programs are designed to help students develop skills and training for careers in electric vehicle-related fields such as automotive technology, engineering, design, maintenance, and repair. School districts can develop these certification programs by reviewing national industry standards and may consult with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities during the program's development. Upon successfully completing the training program, students will receive an electric vehicle certification.
