This bill appropriates additional moneys to the Department of Fish and Game (DFG) for fiscal year 2025, authorizes additional full-time equivalent positions, provides reappropriation authority for depredation funds and capital projects, requires a report regarding big game depredation, and declares an emergency effective July 1, 2024. The bill increases funding for DFG's Administration, Enforcement, Fisheries, Wildlife, and Communications programs from various funds, including the Fish and Game Fund, Fish and Game (Federal) Fund, and Fish and Game Set-Aside Fund. It also reappropriates unused funds from the previous fiscal year to be used for depredation claims and other nonrecurring expenditures.
