This bill appropriates additional funds and reappropriates existing balances to the State Appellate Public Defender for fiscal year 2025, totaling $1,307,400. * An additional $99,800 is appropriated from the General Fund for the State Appellate Public Defender's office, covering personnel and operating costs ($58,200) and capital and conflict representation ($41,600) for fiscal year 2025. * Up to $1,209,400 in unexpended and unencumbered balances from fiscal year 2024 is reappropriated from the General Fund for costs related to capital cases for fiscal year 2025. * Up to $100,000 in unexpended and unencumbered balances from fiscal year 2024 is reappropriated from the General Fund for costs related to outside counsel for noncapital appeals for fiscal year 2025.
