This bill makes several changes related to native rough fish provisions and aquatic farm licenses and taking and possessing fish. Specifically, it: - Allows the commissioner to sell aquatic life to licensed facilities, including native rough fish, and make brood stock available to licensed facilities to reduce reliance on out-of-state sources. - Expands the types of waters that can be licensed for aquatic farms to include those containing game fish and native rough fish, with certain conditions. - Allows aquarium facilities to transfer game fish and native rough fish. - Permits the acquisition of game fish and native rough fish brood stock from the state for aquaculture purposes. - Authorizes the commissioner to continue the commercial removal of native rough fish from certain waters of Voyageurs National Park. - Expands the definition of "native rough fish" to include additional species. - Makes various other conforming changes related to the taking, possessing, and commercial use of native rough fish. The bill also authorizes the commissioner to use a good cause exemption to adopt rules to conform with the changes in the bill.
