This bill, the Stop Unaffordable Dishwasher Standards Act, prohibits the Secretary of Energy from prescribing or enforcing energy conservation standards for dishwashers that are not technologically feasible or economically justified. It also prohibits the Secretary from prescribing or enforcing standards that are likely to result in additional net costs to consumers. Additionally, the Secretary cannot prescribe or enforce standards that do not result in significant energy savings. The bill defines "covered product" and "energy conservation standard" in accordance with the Energy Policy and Conservation Act.
