It requires these facilities to inform consumers if ADAS recalibration is required, ensure that any recalibration meets the vehicle manufacturer's specifications, and notify consumers of their capabilities and limitations in performing the recalibration. The bill also prohibits facilities from misrepresenting the costs covered by the consumer's insurance and from billing for services not performed according to the manufacturer's specifications. Facilities that violate these provisions face a penalty of $2,500 per occurrence.
