This bill amends existing legislation to transfer funds, appropriate funds, and reduce appropriations to aid in carrying out the provisions of Legislative Bill 1329. Specifically, it: 1. Transfers $525,000 from the General Fund to the School Emergency Response Mapping Fund, and appropriates $525,000 from that fund for FY2024-25 to the State Department of Education to aid in carrying out LB 1329. 2. Appropriates $8 million from the General Fund for FY2024-25 to the Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education, including $4 million each for Nebraska Career Scholarships at community colleges and private nonprofit Nebraska postsecondary institutions, to aid in carrying out LB 1329. 3. Amends the appropriations for the Department of Economic Development's Industrial Recruitment program, including changes to the amounts and sources of funding for various economic development initiatives. 4. Transfers $5 million from the State Department of Education Improvement Grant Fund to the Education Future Fund. 5. Repeals the original sections of the amended legislation.
