This bill expands a certain tax credit for farmers to include the cost of construction of housing for farm workers. Specifically, the bill amends the tax law to allow eligible farmers to include the cost of standard construction materials and labor used in the construction of residential housing occupied by farm workers employed by the taxpayer in the production of the qualifying product. This change applies to tax years commencing on and after the effective date of the bill.
