This bill amends the Pennsylvania County Code to further provide for fees charged by coroners for various reports and documents. The key provisions are: 1. The coroner shall charge and collect a fee of $500 for an autopsy report, $100 for a toxicology report, $100 for an inquisition or coroner's report, $50 for a cremation or disposition authorization, and other fees for other reports or documents requested by non-governmental agencies to investigate an insurance claim or determine liability for a death. 2. The coroner may charge a reduced fee of up to $100 for an autopsy report, $50 for a toxicology report, and $50 for an inquisition or coroner's report requested by the spouse, child, parent, guardian, or sibling of the deceased. 3. The fees collected shall be accounted for and paid to the county treasurer to be used to defray the expenses of training coroners or coroner office personnel as required or authorized by law.
