This bill amends the vehicle and traffic law to permit only one traffic infraction per traffic stop for having tinted windows on a motor vehicle. Specifically, the bill adds a new paragraph that states notwithstanding any other law, only one traffic infraction may be incurred as a result of a single traffic stop by the owner of a motor vehicle for a violation of the provisions related to tinted windows. This means that a driver can only receive one ticket for tinted windows during a single traffic stop, even if multiple infractions related to tinted windows are observed.
