This bill provides 2023 aid penalty forgiveness to the city of Stewart. Specifically, it states that notwithstanding the existing law, the city of Stewart must receive its 2023 local government aid payment that was previously withheld, provided that the state auditor certifies the city submitted its 2022 annual financial reporting form by June 1, 2024. The commissioner of revenue is required to make a payment of $87,501.50 to the city by June 30, 2024. This section of the bill is effective immediately upon final enactment.
