This bill removes the restriction of three-cycle coverage for in vitro fertilization (IVF) and mandates individual insurance coverage of IVF. It also requires insurance policies to provide coverage for diagnosis and treatment of infertility, including prescription drugs and certain diagnostic tests and procedures. The bill defines "infertility" and "iatrogenic infertility" and prohibits discrimination in coverage based on various personal characteristics. Additionally, it requires policies that provide coverage for prescription fertility drugs to offer the same coverage when purchased from a network participating non-mail order retail pharmacy.
