This bill, the Equal Access to Specialty care Everywhere Act of 2024 (EASE Act of 2024), requires the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation to test a model to improve access to specialty health services for certain Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. The model would involve the Secretary entering into agreements with provider networks, comprised of at least 50 Federally qualified health centers, rural health clinics, critical access hospitals, or rural emergency hospitals (at least half of which are located in rural areas), to furnish specialty health care services through digital modalities, such as telehealth, to eligible individuals located in rural or underserved areas. The bill also includes a limitation on the appropriation of funds for this purpose.
