This bill requires the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs to develop and maintain an emergency hotline for the veterans memorial homes. The hotline will be prominently advertised in the homes and on the department's website. The hotline will be used for reporting emergencies including, but not limited to: suspected abuse; self-harm; suicide, neglect, or exploitation; criminal acts; death or significant injury of a resident, staff member, or visitor; financial matters; or an evacuation of patients or residents from all or part of the facility.
