This bill, titled the "Restriction of Anticoagulant Pesticide Transactions for Online and Retail Stores Act" or "RAPTORS Act," aims to prohibit the general public from purchasing and using the world's deadliest rodenticides, known as second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides (SGARs) and first-generation anticoagulant rodenticides (FGARs). It prohibits the sale, offering for sale, distribution, or use of these pesticides within the state, unless the purchaser or user has a valid permit or certification. The bill also restricts the use of these pesticides within 500 feet of a wildlife habitat area, with exceptions for certified pesticide applicators where such use is not expected to cause significant adverse effects to non-target wildlife.
