This bill, the Leveraging Integrity and Verification of Eligibility for Beneficiaries Act (LIVE Beneficiaries Act), requires states to verify the eligibility of individuals enrolled in Medicaid on a quarterly basis by reviewing the Death Master File to identify any deceased enrollees. If an enrollee is found to be deceased, the state must disenroll the individual and discontinue Medicaid payments, except for any services provided prior to their death.
