Bill Summary

The bill allows teaching experience to be considered when an out-of-State individual applies for a license from the New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling. The teaching experience would have to be acquired in a school licensed or otherwise approved by an agency in the other jurisdiction in order to apply in New Jersey. Consideration of teaching experience, allowed at the discretion of the board and as determined by the board, is to be equivalent to all or part of three years of prior practical experience working in a licensed shop.
