This bill, the American Music Tourism Act of 2024, amends the Visit America Act to promote music tourism. Specifically, it requires the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Travel and Tourism to identify locations and events in the United States that are important to music tourism and facilitate and promote both domestic and international travel and tourism to those locations and events. The bill also defines "music tourism" as traveling to visit music-related attractions or attend music festivals, concerts, and other live musical performances or events. Additionally, the bill requires the Assistant Secretary to submit a report every two years on their activities, findings, achievements, and vulnerabilities relating to these goals.
