This bill, the Return to Work Awareness Act, aims to assist survivors of stroke and other debilitating health conditions, such as traumatic brain injury and heart attack, in returning to work. The Secretary of Labor, through the Job Accommodation Network, would be authorized to disseminate information and promote awareness among these survivors, their families, private employers, government agencies, employee representatives, and service providers. The goal is to help survivors regain employability, demonstrate their value to employers, and enhance self-employment and entrepreneurship options for them.
