This bill, known as the "Nassau Future Protectors Act," aims to provide additional credits to participants of the Nassau County Law Enforcement Exploring program in competitive civil service examinations for original appointment in Nassau County. The bill defines the Nassau County Law Enforcement Exploring program as a youth police training program that provides youths between the ages of 14 and 20 with training on the purpose, mission, and objectives of the Nassau County Police Department, public safety, and law enforcement.
