AI Summary

This bill provides enhanced statewide jurisdiction for police officers, including county and municipal police officers. Specifically, it allows on-duty police officers to arrest individuals without a warrant anywhere in the state if they have probable cause to believe the person is committing or attempting to commit certain serious crimes, such as driving under the influence, reckless driving, aggressive driving, or overtaking and passing a stopped school bus. The bill also requires off-duty police officers making such arrests to be operating a police vehicle with emergency lights and a siren. Additionally, it allows police officers to execute arrest warrants at any location in the state, but requires them to notify the primary jurisdictional police agency when acting outside of their own jurisdiction.
