This bill amends Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to increase the annual registration fee for magisterial district judges and Philadelphia Municipal Court judges from $200 to $600. Beginning in 2025, the fee will be automatically increased annually by the percentage of increase in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Workers. The bill also requires the Supreme Court to transmit the fee increase to the Legislative Reference Bureau for publication in the Pennsylvania Bulletin by November 30 each year. Additionally, the Office of the Court Administrator of Pennsylvania will continue to pay the annual cost for publishing a monthly journal containing updates and revisions to laws and State Supreme Court rule changes.
