This bill authorizes the use of affordable housing and municipal development fee trust funds for the planning and construction of certain child care centers. Specifically, it allows these funds to be used for the planning and construction of licensed child care centers that are co-located with low- or moderate-income housing, and requires those child care centers to give priority for vacancies to low- and moderate-income households residing in the co-located housing. The bill also requires the Commissioner of Community Affairs to adopt rules and regulations to effectuate the purposes of the bill, including rules for the prioritization of low- and moderate-income households by the co-located child care centers.
