This bill amends the Mental Health Code to expand the criteria for individuals who can request mediation to resolve disputes with community mental health services programs or their service providers. It also requires the community mental health services program or service provider to participate in mediation if requested. The bill also allows a hospital to receive and detain an individual presented for examination under Section 434, in addition to the existing sections referenced.
