This bill directs the Comptroller General of the United States to submit a report to Congress on vessel fires and responses. The report will examine factors affecting federal and non-federal collaboration to reduce vessel and waterfront facility fire risk, focus on the prevalence and frequency of vessel fires within 3 nautical miles of the shoreline, and make recommendations for preparedness, response, training, and other considerations related to these fires.
