This bill amends Pennsylvania's Corporations and Unincorporated Associations laws to prohibit entities from using false, deceptive, or misleading names that suggest a connection to or endorsement by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or its municipalities. The bill provides an exception for entities authorized in advance by the government to use such names, and establishes a felony criminal penalty of up to $15,000 and 7 years' imprisonment for violations. It also creates a defense for entities that include a clear disclaimer on their materials stating they are not affiliated with or authorized by the government.
