The strategy must include assessments of different nuclear reactor types and fuel cycles, the potential of U.S. and partner technologies to reduce Russia's market share, and an overview of U.S. diplomatic engagements and efforts to counter Russian influence in the European nuclear energy industry. The bill also authorizes $30 million per year from 2025 to 2029 to support engagement in Europe on countering Russian malign influence, building nuclear power program capacity, and providing early-stage project support.
