Creating the Glioblastoma Therapeutics Network to support collaborative research and early-phase clinical trials for glioblastoma treatments, and the Brain Tumor CAR-T Team Science Award to develop a multi-institutional approach for using chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy to treat brain tumors. 3. Launching a national public awareness campaign to increase knowledge about the importance of clinical trials and biomarker testing in cancer treatment, with a focus on reaching high-risk populations and rural communities. 4. Providing grants for demonstration projects to test and evaluate outreach and education strategies to improve awareness and knowledge of brain tumor biomarker testing and clinical trials among patients, healthcare providers, and the public. 5. Establishing pilot programs to develop, study, or evaluate approaches for monitoring and caring for adult and pediatric brain tumor survivors, including models for transition to post-treatment care and care coordination. 6. Directing the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to issue guidance to help minimize the potential exclusion of brain tumor patients and those with rare and difficult-to-treat cancers from clinical trials evaluating treatments for other indications.
